The ekmeweb is the official website of (Mr.) Emmanuel Kodwo Mensah, Founder of Aequitas Consultancy. He is passionate about Gender, Development, Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), Health and Nutrition. Has had education and training from highly recognized education Makerere University (MA. Gender Studies & Migration Health), University for Development Studies [UDS-School of Medicine & Health Sciences Ghana] (BSc. Community Nutrition), World Bank Groups (Gender Equality and Development) and research (International Institute of Tropical Agriculture(IITA) institutions. He’s also part of a wonderful team- The Bassah Initiative (TBI) building the capacity of the next generation.
Currently, he’s working on gender and the adoption of Climate-smart agriculture (CSA) practices in Uganda. His work forms part of the CIAT and IITA-led IFAD project dubbed “Increasing food security and farming system resilience in East Africa through wide-scale adoption of climate‐smart agricultural practices”
He previously worked as Nutritionist caring for infants with (acute) malnutrition and Non-communicable related diseases in Ghana and Uganda.
He’s adept in issues of gender (women and girls empowerment, engagement of men and boys in achieving violence free country and the world), policy (review and analysis), CCAFS, human rights and capacity building through writing and speaking.
This platform and the AeqConsult is meant to evince, demonstrate and disseminate evidence-based research results on gender and CCAFS. Furthermore, through this medium, the writer envisages to reach, educate (critique and support) and empower the general population on the issue of community, national, international interest. The tenet issues include gender and CCAFS, women and girls empowerment, education, and capacity building.
